Thanks very much to all volunteers who supported this successful event, including local residents, Luss Estates Co., Friends of Loch Lomond, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and Argyll and Bute Council
Thanks to all volunteers and organisations who supported and participated in our 4th annual Community Clean-up Day on Saturday 7th March - including Luss Estates Co., Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Friends of Loch Lomond, Luss and Arden Community Council, Argyll and Bute Counciland The Lodge on Loch Lomond.
Special thanks to the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel for not only providing lunch as previously arranged, but also (at very short notice !) breakfast rolls and coffee.
The relentless overnight rain continued throughout the morning with Luss Water in full spate and floods covering most of the Highland Games field, but the volunteers went ahead with litter collection and general cleaning in Luss Village, the Quarry footpath and down the old A82 to Bandry.
The hard work done in our previous clean-up days and the regular litter clearing by Luss Estates and Argyll & Bute Council is continually enhancing the local environment for residents and for our visitors from around the world.
The 3rd annual Community Clean-up Day organised by Luss and Arden Community Development Trust on Saturday 22nd March attracted over 40 volunteers including local residents and individuals from various local organisations. We cleared litter and vegetation from roads, pavements and paths.
Very many thanks to all who participated, including individual volunteers from the Luss and Arden area, Luss Estates Co., Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Friends of Loch Lomond, Luss and Arden Community Council, Argyll and Bute Council and Luss Primary School.
And also thank you very much to our local cafes and restaurants: Village Rest, Loch Lomond Arms and Coach House Coffee Shop for providing complimentary food and soft drinks in the morning, lunchtime and afternoon respectively.
